Experienced, Innovative Care

Living kidney donation is when a living person donates a kidney to someone in need of a kidney transplant. This allows patients to be transplanted before their kidney disease gets worse. In paired donation, two or more organ-recipient pairs trade donors so that each recipient gets an organ that is compatible with his or her blood type.

At University Health Transplant Institute, you'll benefit from:

- Strong history of research, innovation and surgical excellence
- Center of Excellence designations, by most major insurance carriers
- Experience: We have performed over 1,300 kidney transplants, combined kidney-pancreas transplants and living donor kidney transplants since 1985
